1-2-3 and you're married!
Getting married in Australia can be as easy as 1-2-3 with a month of time.
#2: must have wording in the marriage ceremony:
The authorised marriage celebrant must say at least the following words:
“I am duly authorised by law to solemnize marriages according to law.
[The Monitum] “Before you are joined in marriage in my presence and in the presence of these witnesses, I am to remind you of the solemn and binding nature of the relationship into which you are now about to enter.
“Marriage, according to law in Australia, is the union of two people to the exclusion of all others, voluntarily entered into for life."
The parties to be wed must say at least:
[Legal Vows] “I call upon the persons here present to witness that I, A.B. (or C.D.), take thee, C.D. (or A.B.), to be my lawful wedded wife (or husband or spouse or partner in marriage)”.
The words above constitute the shortest ceremony I can do for you!
NOTE: Both the Monitum and the Legal Vows MUST be spoken at your ceremony otherwise your marriage may not be valid.
#3: five people sign three forms for fifteen signatures. The couple, two witnesses and the celebrant sign the declaration of no legal impediment to marriage, official certificate of marriage and Form 15 Certificate of Marriage (which is given to the couple).
